Activities
With the help of some funding from the Board of Education at the Karolinska Institute, we try to arrange some activities during the semesters. There are two re-occurring main events that we try to organize each semester; a welcome dinner and a visit to “Solvik” which is a lodge owned by the Student Union and situated a bit outside town, just at the lakeside. Besides these, we are also open for ideas and suggestions from both our Swedish members and the exchange students on things to do together.
Some of the activities are free for the participants. At other activities you may have to pay for yourselves. Sometimes it’s also possible that we can reduce the price. At some activities, there might be a discount for those having an International Student Card (ISIC) or who have paid the Student Union fee at Karolinska.
Apart from exchange students and the Swedish Global Friends members, also other persons such as friends, relatives or foreign master students are welcome to our activities. However, they may have to pay for themselves even at otherwise sponsored activities since the funding that we get is appropriated for exchange students. Also, in case of limited numbers, exchange students would have priority.
Hope to see you around!
