Corpus Karrolina
Corpus Karrolina was founded in 1977 at Medicinska Föreningen's 100 year anniversary and has since then (in Your honour) been preformed a spex each spring semester. A classical spex is a pawky distortion of a historical event, in rhyme and brightened with song and orchestra. By tradition there is only men on stage, while the protagonist is always a woman.
The preparations begin early in the spring semester with stage building, singing, costume making, choreographing, rehearsing and much, much more. During an intense spring week the spex is performed in several shows at a theatrical stage in Stockholm. There is more than enough spex, rhymes, songs and Swedish punsch to go round.
We also lighten up the parties at MF with gems from spex through out the ages.
