The Mecenatkort is your membership card and your student discount card that you receive after paying your membership fee to Medicinska Föreningen. The Mecenatkort entitles you to many student discounts and is used at Karolinska Institutet to show that you have paid your membership fee.
The card is sent to your stated home address approximately 3 weeks after you haved payed your semester fee and gotten registered at your course. Therefore it is important that you give Karolinska Institutet and us the correct home address.
Mecenat and Medicinska Föreningen offers you as a member hundreds of student discounts from Mecenatkortet. On the Mecenat website you can see all discounts and we hope you take advantage of them. On the website you can find good offers on travels, computers, literature, shopping, entertainment, film and music.

In order to get student discounts at, SAS and SJ you have to study at least 75 % of full time. The logos of these companies on your Mecenatkort entitle you to their discounts.
It usually takes three weeks to get your Mecenatkort after you've paid your membership fee and been registered on your course. The Mecenatkort is sent to the home address that you fill in when you pay your membership fee. If you don't get your card in time, it is usually caused by an invalid home address. Your card is then returned to the student union office. Please visit the student union office in order to see if we have received your returned card.
