It’s tough to find a student accomodation in Stockholm and this year’s housing shortage is worse than ever. In order to get a room in a corridor it’s required to have 13-15 month on a waiting list, for an apartment with a kitchenette it’s just over a year and a half and if you want to have a centrally located property you have to queue for several years. The best advice to anyone who wants to study in Stockholm is to seek out the city’s housing queues, student-specific and others, and stand in line as early as possible. A membership in Medicinska Föreningen gives you the opportunity to stand in a student-specific waiting list, at SSSB.
